April 23 -29, 2017 is National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW)
National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW), a brief seven days when we shine a light on this important topic. The CDC reports that 1 in 8 couples experience infertility when trying to become pregnant (2006-2010 National Survey of Family Growth, CDC). It is more common than you might think to experience challenges while trying to conceive, and we know that it can take a toll on your emotional, mental and physical well being. You are not alone!
NIAW began in 1989, by RESOLVE
The National Infertility Association and strives to raise awareness about infertility. The organization also encourages women and men to be proactive about understanding their reproductive health. We believe that being proactive and learning more about your fertility health arms you with more knowledge and tools to start a conversation about your growing family potential.
Helping keep the conversation going
We are passionate about continuing the conversation, empowering the community to learn more and supporting those on their journey to parenthood and you can too. Together we can keep talking about infertility to help break the silence and taboos; connect with each other through out the year not just during this week; and share your personal story with others.
