Male Fertility Evaluations are Essential
Male fertility evaluations are essential because they help identify the underlying causes of male infertility, which affects at least 10-15% of couples trying to conceive. By assessing male reproductive health, fertility specialists can identify factors that may contribute to infertility, such as low sperm count, low sperm motility or decreased sperm morphology. If these abnormalities are discovered further evaluation may be warranted to investigate potential hormonal imbalances, genetic abnormalities or anatomic abnormalities in the reproductive tract.
Once the underlying causes of infertility are identified, a personalized treatment plan can be developed to address the specific issues. These treatment options may include lifestyle modifications, medications, surgery, or assisted reproductive technologies, such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Taking action early can identify and address any potential issues that may hinder conception, optimize fertility, and improve the chances of a successful pregnancy.
