What medications are used to treat infertility?
Many couples – about 6.7 million – experience difficulties with infertility and becoming pregnant. The good news is that finding a solution for infertility, whether through treatments, medication, or a combination of both, is possible. Infertility is a term that applies to couples that have been actively trying to become pregnant over several months but have not been able to conceive. - Tests of the cervix

After a full medical assessment is made, specialists with then discuss all the available options for treating infertility and decide which treatments or medications will yield the best results. There are a few types of medications used to treat infertility:
Oral Medications or Injectable Medication
These medications increase fertility by stimulating ovulation through the release of gonadotropins from the pituitary gland. They often accompany other treatments.
PCOS Treatments
Medication that helps the body process insulin better can help treat PCOS, as can fertility drugs that increase the production of female hormones. Weight loss also benefits some women. Treatments not involving medication include:
IUI (Intra Uterine Insemination)
A type of treatment in which sperm is washed and introduced directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation.
IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)
This treatment uses assisted reproductive technology to fertilize a woman’s eggs outside her body.
Egg Donation
Egg donations allow an embryo to be created with either male or female factor infertility or both.
