Letrozole

Letrozole (femara) is an oral medication that stimulates an increase in the hormones that support the maturation and release of a mature egg or eggs. It is often used in conjunction with intrauterine insemination (IUI). Letrozole is approved for the treatment of breast cancer and not specifically marketed for use as a fertility medication. Therefore, using letrozole during fertility treatment is considered an “off-label” indication.

Leuprolide Acetate

Leuprolide Acetate can be used in a few different ways depending on what time during a cycle it is utilized. It can be used to stimulate the pituitary gland to release FSH and LH which can support the development of follicles and can also be used to initiate the LH surge and final maturation of the eggs. It can also be used to suppress the pituitary glands ability to initiate the LH surge and prevent premature ovulation.
